On December, 13 the visiting meeting of the National Security and Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was held in the SZRU. The international drug network supplying cocaine into Ukraine dismantled (30.11.2005)
The Security Service of Ukraine (the SBU), along with the Policнa Federal Argentina, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, law-enforcement agencies of Uruguay and Portugal, the Federal Drugs Control Service of Russia and US Drug Enforcement Administration dismantled a drug trafficking network that smuggled a big shipment of cocaine from Argentina into Ukraine.

Delegations from 24 countries attended this seminar. Ukraine was represented by the officials from the Secretariat of the President, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (SNBU), the National Center for Euro-Atlantic Integration, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVS), the State Border Service of Ukraine as well as by other respective state bodies.
