US President Donald Trump has once again stated that he is dissatisfied with his russian counterpart putin, who continues the war against Ukraine. “I’m not thrilled with putin. He’s killing too many people,” said the President of the United States.

The fall of the  regime of Nicolás Maduro, who will stand trial in New York on charges of narco-terrorism, has left the fate of billions of dollars in investments and loans that Venezuela received from russia hanging in the balance. From 2006 to 2017, the kremlin allocated a total of $17 billion to the Venezuelan government and the country’s state oil company PDVSA.

US Senator Lindsey Graham has called on China to stop supporting Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, buying oil from putin, and supporting the ayatollah regime in Iran.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys has reminded that President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro, who was captured by the USA, supported russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

russia will face new problems in filling its budget if the USA gains control over Venezuela’s oil production, – said oligarch oleg deripaska. “If our American ‘partners’ get their hands on Venezuela’s oil fields, they will control more than half of the world’s oil reserves,” he said. In kemerovo region, GRP  is projected to drop to minus 4.1 % in 2026. The budget deficit is critical – about 44 billion rubles: revenues – 234 billion, expenditures – 257 billion rubles. Next year, a further decline in revenues to 198-194 billion rubles is forecast due to the crisis in the coal industry. As a result, many regional programs had to be severely cut, but the expenditure side still ended up with an increased deficit of 215–210 billion rubles.

In 2026, irkutsk region will suffer from stagnation in world prices for aluminum – and for coal as well. The budget deficit here is slightly less than that of the kuzbass – over 40 billion rubles.

In astrakhan region, GRP is expected to drop by 2.1 %, and the decline will continue until the 2028 planning horizon. The reason is the depletion of existing deposits, primarily oil and gas ones.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania proposes to extend national restrictive measures against russian and belarusian citizens until 2028 amid russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine.

In 2024/2025 academic year, there were 2,817 general secondary education institutions working in belarus. Five years ago, there were 3,020. During the same period, the number of students in secondary schools increased from 1 million 31.7 thousand to 1.1 million. In other words, during this time, the number of schools decreased, while the number of children in them increased. The number of teachers is also decreasing. Previously, 111,200 people worked in the general secondary education system, now  – 98,100 do.
