The government of Latvia  has decided to close the border with belarus. The country’s Minister of the Interior Janis Dombrava has  urged residents of Latvia to refrain from traveling to belarus or to return to the country if they are already there. He warned that, amid the escalation of a “hybrid migration war” by belarus, safe travel between the two countries could become difficult.
