Today we remember one of the most prominent Ukrainian writers of the 20th century – Ulas Samchuk. A man who was called “Ukrainian Homer” and “chronicler of Volyn”. But also a man whom the kremlin feared so much that it launched an entire kgb special operation against him to prevent him from ever winning the Nobel Prize.
Why was that? The answer to this question can be found in documents from the archives of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
