Myron Konovalets – In the Shadow of a Great Name

Today we’ll talk about a man who remained in the shadow of one of the most famous figures of the Ukrainian liberation movement – Yevhen Konovalets. We mean his brother, Myron Konovalets.
Unlike Yevhen, who appears in hundreds of documents and nkvd intelligence reports, far less information about Myron has survived. But this is not because he was less important. On the contrary – his role in the activities of the UVO and the OUN was significant, albeit behind the scenes.
And only recently, thanks to documents from the archives of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, have we been able to gain a slightly better understanding of his life and activities.
