Acting Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Oleh Luhovskyi has reported to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the Service’s significant achievements regarding the situation in Crimea and other Ukrainian territories currently under russian occupation. The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine has obtained information indicating that the crisis involving fuel, military logistics, and governance in Crimea is deepening on a virtually daily basis. The russian occupying administration quite clearly and unambiguously acknowledges the impossibility of resolving the problems created by our medium-range sanctions against the occupier, as well as by the implementation of long-range sanctions, first of all targeting russia’s oil refining. A similar situation is unfolding in other regions of the rf.

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine has also obtained internal russian documentation assessing the mood of citizens of the aggressor state. Currently, the level of anxiety among russians is already higher than it was during our Kursk Operation – specifically, over 50%. Already, 66% of russians consider their financial situation to be difficult. More than 80% of russians believe a large-scale economic crisis in russia is inevitable. These figures are crystal clear and reflect the failure of putin’s military policy.

Separately, Oleh Luhovskyi has reported on measures being implemented in belarus – under obvious russian influence – to prepare for a potential escalation of aggression against Ukraine. Along our state border in belarus, construction is nearing completion on road infrastructure and storage facilities for ammunition and fuel and lubricants, which serve no purpose other than military ones. These are the border areas of Kobrin–Kovel, Ivanove–Manevychi, Luninets–Sarny, Rechitsa–Korosten, and Gomel–Chernihiv. In russian documents, this is described specifically in the context of the objectives of the so-called “special military operation”.

According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, belarus has received the necessary signals from Ukraine regarding such activities, as well as regarding all other forms of the rb’s collaboration with russia aimed at prolonging and escalating the war. belarus knows what steps it must take for the sake of  peace. The development of border infrastructure for aggression by belarus must be stopped. It is the belarusian side that has to take steps aimed at de-escalation and peace.
