The Government of Portugal has officially approved the decision to support Ukrainian pilots, with the total value of the approved aid package amounting to EUR 21.45 million. Part of this amount, EUR 954 thousand, will be used directly to train Ukrainian F-16 fighter pilots within the framework of the international F-16 Air Force Capability Coalition, which operates under the auspices of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) and is responsible for the development of Ukrainian aviation capabilities.

Separately, the Portuguese Republic will allocate EUR 20.5 million to provide the Ukrainian Defense Forces with satellite intelligence. This includes optical satellite imagery and data from synthetic aperture radar (SAR).

As part of the new military aid package, Latvia will provide Ukraine with a batch of modern Patria 6×6 armored personnel carriers.
