EU Ambassadors agreed to the United Kingdom’s participation in supporting Ukraine’s defense needs through the EUR 90 billion European financial support program, known as the Ukraine Support Loan.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has announced his country’s readiness to increase natural gas supplies to Germany beyond the current 1.5 billion cubic meters per year. The project is part of Germany’s move to phase out russian fuel.

Mr. Aliyev has also stated that, due to damage to its oil refineries, russia is no longer able to supply even its traditional partners with oil and gas at previous levels.

The fuel crisis that has been escalating in russia since May has been resolved in moscow region thanks to the redistribution of resources from the east of the country.

Lithuania is not considering easing sanctions against belarus and sees no grounds for changing its policy toward the country as long as belarus remains a source of hybrid threats and supports russia’s aggression against Ukraine. This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys.

In January–May 2026, the proportion of unprofitable organizations in belarus increased on a year-on-year basis. Nationwide, this figure rose by 3.9% (from 18.7% in the first five months of 2025 to 22.6% in the same period of 2026).
