Wizards and Magicians Have Stepped In to Tackle russia’s Fuel Crisis

The fuel crisis in russia is escalating. In many regions, drivers are forced to wait in line around the clock just to fill up with 10–20 liters of petrol. The quality of the fuel hasn’t even been an issue lately.
Meanwhile, the kremlin – which, according to the official line, has “everything under control” – is trying to keep the situation in check using regulations, quotas, schedules, restrictions, ration cards, and other post-soviet trappings. However, ordinary russians can only hope for a miracle.
This is where a cohort of russian magicians, wizards, and esotericists comes into play, actively offering their services. For a certain fee, they are ready to “cast a spell” on a car so that it consumes less fuel.
Given the cost of petrol on the russian black market (250 to 500 rubles per liter), the prices for these magical rituals seem quite “affordable”. For 1,500 rubles, customers are offered a “wax casting” to remove negative energy; for 7,000 rubles – the installation of a runic charm; and for 9,000 rubles – a search for “magic needles” inside the car. For “advanced users”, a “bear’s paw” amulet can be purchased for 15,000 rubles, and for 16,000 rubles – a full-fledged magical ritual involving salt and a gold ornament can be ordered, which is supposed to reduce fuel consumption and even “attract” petrol or diesel fuel into the tank. However, there is one mandatory condition: not to tell anyone about the ritual; otherwise, the wizards assure, the magic will not work.
